Whenever you ask my father-in-law, Kenny, how old he is, his quick answer is always 29. Now mind you he has two daughters who have passed this age themselves, but he is quite adamant that he is still 29. This created a little bit of a problem when we threw his surprise 60th birthday party this past weekend. How could one decorate with items that said "60" when the birthday boy himself won't admit he is anywhere near this number? The solution was quite simple... We didn't celebrate Dad's 60th birthday, but rather his anniversary... The 31st Anniversary of his 29th Birthday!
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day for an outside celebration to honor a man that is loved and respected by so many. The best part is even with a few unforeseen issues, the surprise still came off without a major hitch! 
So in honor of today being the day you turn 29 for the 31st time, I dedicate my blog post to you, Dad. Thank you for being an amazing dad to Jason and me and an extraordinary Papa to our little man. Your quiet leadership, unending encouragement, and strong example make my life brighter and better each day.
